A container with no insulation has two compartments. The first compartment is evacuated to zero pressure, and the other contains a compressed gas that is not an ideal gas. Suppose that the separation between the two compartments is removed. What type of process is this?

IsoTHERMAL. In this scenario there will be no change in temperature, only the sudden pressure transfer. This is tricky because the seperated chambers are now connected and can equalize in pressure. So isovolumetric is a very questionable choice here.
