the answer is D. you know that the equation must end in +4 as the yintercept is at four (y=4 when x=0)
then you can work out that it is 3x because when x changes by -4, y changes by -12, which is three times as much.
Hope this makes sense!

slope = (-8 - 4)/(-4 -0) = -12/-4 = 3

y-intercept so b = 4

equation: y = 3x + 4

answer: C. y = 3x + 4
