The three primary systems that the social work profession attends to are (1) family, child or school social work which mostly deals with children and in school, if pursued the social worker will be assigned in schools or day care centers; (2) public health social work usually deals with physical health concerns; (3) addictions and mental health social work usually deals with those abused individuals where trauma is present.
