To solve this there are 2 major steps that you would need to do.
1.) The first step is to determine the length of the rectangle by using Pythagorean theorem. Basically find the slope in between the 2 points and then find the hypotenuse.
m = y2-y1/x2-x1
m = -3 - 3/2 - -2
m = -6/4. From this we know that the height of the triangle ( if you connect the first point to the second point) you know that the length of one side is 6, we also the length of the other side is 4, to solve for the hypotenuse use Pythagorean theorem.
4^2 + 6^2
16 + 36 = 52
c = 7.21.
This would be the length, do the same exact thing for the bottom portion of the rectangle to solve for the width.
Then multiply the 2 values together to determine the area of the rectangle.
