a square has 4 sides of equal legnth
so if the side legnth is s, then the perimiter is 4s
aera=side^2
so if perimiter is P, then the area is (P/4)^2

1. (P/4)^2=(480/4)^2=(120)^2=14400 ft^2
2. (P/4)^2=(1000/4)^2=250^2=62500 ft^2
3. (P/4)^2=(6/4)^2=(3/2)^2=9/4 mi^2 or about 2.25 mi^2
