Would carry out the first minus the second.

(2x - 5) - (3 - 9x)

2x - 5 - 3 + 9x the minus sign before the bracket changes second - to +.

2x + 9x - 5 - 3

11x - 8

Hope this helped.

Answer: 11x-8

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given two expressions (2x-5) and (3-9x)

Since, we need to find the difference between these two given expressions

(2x-5)-(3-9x) (1)

When we open parenthesis and there is negative sign outside it sign will get change of the numbers inside parenthesis

-(3-9x)= -3+9x substituting it in (1) we will get

2x-5-3+9x

after simplifying the above expression we will get

11x-8 which is the required difference of the two given expressions.
