Answer: Respiration and photosynthesis both occur in plants.

Respiration occurs in the mitochondria while photosynthesis occurs in chloroplasts. That being said we automatically know that C is incorrect. Photosynthesis does not occur in animals only in plants so we can cross off B as well.
