Lee earned some money from a summer job he saved 1/4 of the money and spent 1/3 of the rest on a t-shirt he then spent the remaining money on some CDs what fraction of the money was spent on CDs show your work

they need to be like terms (so change the denominators into things that match)
1 x3 = 3
4 x3 = 12

1 x4 = 4
3 x4 = 12

4/12 + 3/12 = 7/12

So, 7/12 of the money was spent.
