divide both sides by 3
1ft=4.33
times 2
2ft=8.66
2ft costs 8.66
or ratio and poroportion
12.99/3=x/2
times both sides by 3*2
12.99*2=3x
25.98=3x
divide both sides by 3
8.66=x
2ft costs $8.66
