water and brought them into conflict with the needs in other localities. This led to the building of dams in the Colorado river and even more extreme measures.

The region was a desert before settlers moved in and started requiring for more water than is naturally available. This led to going farther and farther away to get water and brought them into conflict with the needs in other localities. This led to the building of dams in the Colorado river and even more extreme measures.
