Some things that happened include:

Election of 1800, President Jefferson is elected (Federalist Party)
- Year of 1801
Jefferson's presidential theme was to unite the Federalists and Republicans
- April 30, 1803
Louisiana is bought into America
- April 15, 1805
Louis and Clark reach the Pacific (in their exploration)
- July 15, 1806
Zebulon Pike explores the Southwest
- December 22, 1807
Embargo Act is signed (slavery abolished)
- In 1810
Tecumseh was encouraged to follow the Treaty of Greenville
- August 9, 1814
Treaty of Fort Jackson signed
