initial investment was when x=0, when no change had occured

c(0)=7(0)^2-6(0)+5
c(0)=5

this is in thousands
5*1000=5000
answer is $5000 is initial

Answer:

Option (a) is correct.

The Juan’s initial investment is $ 5

Explanation:

Given : Juan’s investment account can be modeled by the function,
c(x)=7x^2-6x+5, in thousands of dollars.

We have to find the Juan’s initial investment.

Since, Juan’s investment is modeled by function

c(x)=7x^2-6x+5

Since initial investment is when he start the investment and is given by when

x = 0

Thus,
c(0)=7(0)^2-6(0)+5

Simplify , we get,

c(0) = 5

Thus, the Juan’s initial investment is $ 5
