How are the layers of the atmosphere different?

:0 this is a midterm question, and no I'm not cheating, it's GONNA be on the midterm

In order, we have the:
Troposphere: contains all life and support all life on Earth
Stratosphere: contain the ozone layer, very cold but warms up as it gets higher
Mesosphere: temperature drops again and is the coldest place on Earth, most meteorites burn up in this layer
Thermosphere: the hottest layer, reaching to about 1000-1500 degrees celsius
Exosphere: highest layer, extremely low-density hydrogen, and helium composition

The atmosphere is divided into five layers. It is thickest near the surface and thins out with height until it eventually merges with space
