Before dividing, you would have to change the fractions into improper form:
5 1/2 ÷ 1 1/4 = 11/2 ÷ 5/4
Now flip 5/4 to get the reciprocal, which is 4/5, then multiply:
11/2 x 4/5
Your final answer is:
44/10 or 4 2/5 so it is
B. 4 2/5
