y*y*y*y*y

y^5

Explanation:

When you multiply exponents with the same base you're supposed to add them so your answer to the first is y^5 but your teacher is being weird and wants you to write it with no exponents so you can just write it 5 times

so number one is y*y*y*y*y

I answered number two in my explanation above

you add the exponents

y^2+y^3=y^5
