18^2=x^2+x^2
cause we have two 45 angles .
therefore 2x^2 =18^2 so x^2 =324÷2=162 so x=12.8

A 45-45-90 triangle would have legs that are of the same length (x) and the hypotenuse would be x times the square root of 2.
We can make an equation and solve for x:
Divide both sides by sqrt{2} to have (approximately):
