The answer is: moving away from the topic.

Group participation, like any other form of dialogue, debate or discussion, should attempt to be as focused as possible in order for it to be constructive and carry as much meaning as the discussion requires it; that is to say, when participating in a group, moving away from the topic is never a good participating technique since it deviates from the main topic and creates argumentation lines that are not related to said topic.
