Answer to Question 5:
y = 5
x = 10

Answer to the Above question:
x = 5y - 37 (1)
x + 2y = 26 (2)

Substitute x into equation 2, therefore;
(5y - 37) + 2y = 26
simplify
7y - 37 = 26
7y = 63
y = 9
Then substitute y=9 into any equation (choosing the easiest to solve which is equation 1), in order to find a solution for the x-value.
Thus,
x = 5(9) - 37
x = 45 - 37
x = 8
The answer is,
y=9, x=8
