Hi there!

To find the proportion of the number of six graders there at the pep rally, you need to make a fraction of the number of 6th graders over the total number of students at the rally.

Number of 6th grade students / Number of total students at rally

(266)/(500)

Then simplify by dividing the top and bottom by 2.

(266/2)/(500/2)
Which would give you:

(133)/(250)

Hope this helps :)
