Why are some graphs limited to the first quadrant?

Because the numbers are positive (x,y), all of the other quadrants have negitive numbers (-x,-y) (-x,y) (x, -y)

graphs limited to the first quadrant would have positive points only, for bith the x and y variables, which means there wouldnt be any points in any other quadrant.... in other words, plotted points with both variables being positive would stay within the first quadrant. hope this answers your question!!
