the distance between the points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is
D=
√((x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2)

given
(-3,3) and (3,-3)
D=
√((3-(-3))^2+(-3-3)^2)
D=
√((3+3)^2+(-6)^2)
D=
√((6)^2+36)
D=
√(36+36)
D=√72
D=(√36)(√2)
D=6√2

the disatnce is 6√2
