Draw out a number line. Make sure the numbers 2 and 3 are plotted on the number line. Between these two values, cut this area into 4 equal slices. After cutting into quarters, mark the 3rd quarter since 3/4 = 0.75, so this where the value 2.75 resides.

Plot an open circle at 2.75, then shade to the right. The open hole is to say "do not include this value as part of the solution set". So we're visually describing all values larger than 2.75

First, you need to circle 2.75. You have to decide whether or not to shade it in. On this equation, you wouldn't, because the answer can't be 2.75. You can tell because its greater than, and not greater than or equal to. So leave the circle empty. Then, you have to decide which way to shade. On this equation, you would shade right simply because g has to be greater than 2.75. If it was less than, you would shade left. Hope this helped!!!
