Number of stickers = 300

Ratio of Harry's stickers to Gary's stickers = 7:3

Let,

x be the number of times.

7x+3x= 300

10x = 300

Dividing both sides by 10

`(10x)/(10)=(300)/(10)\\x=30`

Harry's stickers = 7(30) = 210

Gary's stickers = 3(30) = 90

New ratio of Harry's stickers to Gary's stickers = 8 : 7

8x + 7x = 300

15x = 300

Dividing both sides by 15

`(15x)/(15)=(300)/(15)\\x=20`

Harry's new number of stickers = 8(20) = 160

Gary's new number of stickers = 7(20) = 140

Stickers given by Harry = 210 - 160 = 50
