What is the value of x in the equation 734x=627?

Well, whenever a number is next to a variable, it means that we're multiplying the two. So 734x = 734 times x. Now it says that when we multiply the two it gives you 627, so to find out what x equals, we'll have to divide 627 divided by 734, which is about 0.854 (<---- to the nearest hundredth).
