Part 1:
The American Psychological Association's purpose is to promote the invention, communication, and utilization of psychological education to help the community and enhance people's lives. The APA accomplishes this goal by supporting the expansion and utilization of psychology in a comprehensive practice, encouraging study in psychology, the promotion of study programs and requirements and the employment of research findings, raising the capacities and convenience of psychologists by building high rules of ethics, conduct, education and success, and enhancing and distributing psychological education through meetings, professional connections, reports, papers, talks, and statements.
Part 2:
Some of the processes in which they do this are by supporting the extension of psychology, serving psychology study, setting acknowledged measures for psychologists, and improving the diffusion of psychological science and experimentation.
