Tsunami is a big big big wave caused by movement of tectonic plates. A normal wave is caused by the moon.

A tsunami is waaay bigger than a wave. Tsunami comes from cold weather and warm weather clashing in the middle of the ocean then coming towards shore getting bigger as it goes. A wave is influenced by the moon.
