so what you need to do is get the equation y+2= -4(x+1) into Ax+By= C form, and to do this, you just need to work with the problem a bit

First, you need to get rid of those parenthises. to do this, distribute the -4 into the x-1 to turn the equation into y+2= -4x-4

Next, you need to get the x and y to the same side of the equation, so add 4x to both sides of the equation to change the equation into 4x+y+2= -4

Finally, what you need to do is get all of the numbers without variables to the same side of the equation, which should be the right side in this example. So subtract 2 from both sides to end up with 4x+y= -6

Y+2=-4(x+1)
-4 x + -4
Y+2=-4x +-4
-2. +-2
Y=-4x+ -6

This is as far as I can get you too. I don't remember what to do after. Ask your teacher for help tomorrow. I hope I helped!
