An apple is cut into 6 equal slices. Nancy eats 2 of the slices. What fraction of the Apple is left?

Cut the apple into pieces. You get 6/6, which is equal to 1 whole apple. Then after Nancy eats 2 of the slices, you subtract 2/6 from 6/6. After this you get 4/6.

4/6 is the fraction of the apple is left.
