How do you do 44=5x-6. I am having trouble finding x. Any help finding x?

What you would do first is add 6 on both sides of the equal sign. After doing this your equation should look like 50=5x. Then you would take 5x and divide it into 40 and it's self. You would then get, 10=x. That would be your answer.

You would add 6 to 44 and get 50, so your equation would now be 50=5x. Just divide 50 and 5 and you should get x=10.
