Is the relation a function?

Identify the input (x) values, then identify the output (y) values. If each input value produces only one output value, the relation is a function. If each input value produces two or more output values, the relation is not a function.

Since the x-value 5 has two y-values (7 and 8), it is NOT a function.

No it is not because the x factor 5 is repeated twice.
