I believe it could be 12. There are 6 sides on a cube, and 2 sides on a coin. If you multiply them together, you get 12. There would be 6 possible outcomes if the coin only had 1 side, but as there's 2 sides, that means there are 12 possible outcomes.

I think it is 8 because there are six sides to the die (six possible outcomes) + the two sides of a coin (two possible outcomes)
