the circumference of the larger circle is about 18.8 centimeters and the circumference of the smaller circle is about 6.3 centimeters. Find the approximate diameter of the smaller circle

Circumference = 2 x pi x r

So you have:

6.3 cm = 2 x pi x r

(6.3cm) / 2pi = r

r = 1.o

therefore: d = 2
