What is the area of a rectangle with vertices at  (−6, 3)(−6, 3) ,  (−3, 6)(−3, 6)  , (1, 2)(1, 2) , and (−2, −1)(−2, −1) ? Do not round any side lengths.

well, find the legnth and width because lenth times width =area
we just need to find 2 differnd distances

the distance between 2 points, (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is

D= √((x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2)
let's find distance between (-6,3) and (-3,6)

D= √((-3-(-6))^2+(6-3)^2)=√18=3√2

the other one
from (-3,6) to (1,2)

D= √((1-(-3))^2+(2-6)^2)=√32=4√2

area=legnth times width
legnth=4√2
width=3√2
area=4√3 times 3√2=12*2=24

the area is 24
