To apply an active voice while writing a text, subjects perform an action and expresses it through its representative verb. In other words, the mentioned individuals in a position paper are described as performing certain actions. On the other hand, when using a passive voice, the individuals are acted on by his actions.

Position papers should be written in active voice, as it is the most effective way to for a writer to express his or her opinion and present valid argumentations over his or her statements.
