I believe the focus/theme of the poem is about a child envying their mothers bravery and possibly might be upset that she isn’t more like her mother.

Words/terms that stood out personally to me were: Courage, rock, need

“That courage like a rock”
“That courage my mother had”
“Has no more I need of, and I have.”

“Treasure” has a positive connotation
“Courage” has a stronger connotation
(I’ll be honest, I couldn’t find any other connotations, I don’t know if you need exactly three)

I believe the purpose of this writing was to enlighten

The intended audience would most likely be people who struggle with feeling brave enough

I believe this text is appropriate for young children. Other than the mention of death there isn’t any “heavy” topics.

I apologize if anything is wrong.
