y = 5x + 10...slope here is 5. A parallel line will have the same slope.
y = mx + b
slope(m) = 5
(2,14)...x = 2 and y = 14
now we sub and find b, the y int
14 = 5(2) + b
14 = 10 + b
14 - 10 = b
4 = b
so ur parallel equation is : y = 5x + 4
