since y=(3/2)x-2
subsitute 3/2x-2 for y in 2nd equation
2x+3/2x-2=-4
add 2 to both sides
2x+3/2x=-2
times 2 both sides
4x+3x=-4
7x=-4
divide both sides by 7
x=-4/7
sub that back
y=3/2x-2
y=3/2(-4/7)-2
y=-12/14-2
y=-6/7-2
y=-6/7-14/7
y=-20/7

(x,y)
(-4/7,-20/7)

rewrite the 2nd equation as

y = -4 -2x

then substitute into the 1st equation so you get

-4 - 2x = (3)/(2) x - 2

then solve for x.

when you get the value of x, substitute it into either equation to find y

hope it helps
