Appropriations Committee
The Appropriations Committee makes recommendations about how federal money can be spent. The Finance Committee looks at ways of raising revenues. Although the president prepares and submits an annual budget to Congress, the Budget Committee studies and revises the budget to prepare the budget resolution that will be voted into law.
