the answer is 8 because 8 times .75 is 6 and 6 plus 9 equals 15

We have been given that she wants to spend exactly $15 on candy.

Also, she spent $9 on lollipops. It means she spent
15-9= $6 on gummy bears.

Also, we have been given that the cost of gummy bears are $0.75 per pound.

Thus, in 1$ she can purchase
(0.75)/(6) pounds of gummy bears.

Hence, in $6, she can purchase

(1)/(0.75) * 6\\ \\ =8

Therefore, she purchased 8 pounds of gummy bears.
