Well, first of all, what is a scientific model? You probably know that a scientific model is based on observation, testable hypothesis and time.
So, for it to be a scientific model we need to have an observation to check if we can stablish a hypothesis, in this case, we can assume certain things by looking at the image, these things are called hypothesis. After thinking about this, what you need to do is to test it, and the weather is testable because we have te technology to do so, and then we can check if the information we collected by doing that will match or not our hypothesis, if not, we need to change the hypothesis. That's called Scientific Methodology.
