you have to convert 117.46 meters to feet. so you know that 0.3048 meters is 1 foot.

117.46 / 0.3048= 385.37feet red kite
now you can simply subtract
385.37-362.26=23.11ft
the answer is, the red kite has an altitude 23.11 feet higher then the black kite.
