You multiply grams of carbohydrate in the food by 4 calories per gram. Same with protein. And multiply grams of fat in the food by 9 calories per gram. And finally, add the energy from carbohydrate, protein, and fat.
I hope I helped you :)

Answer: 367 calories.

Explanation:

Carbohydrates and proteins provide 4 calories energy per gram of carbohydrate or protein.

Fats provide 9 calories energy per gram of fat.

So, 34 grams of carbohydrate will provide 34 x 4= 136 calories.

42 grams of protein will provide 42 x 4 = 168 calories.

7 grams of fat will provide 7 x 9 = 63 calories

Total energy will be 136+ 168+ 63 = 367 calories of energy.

The sandwich will provide 367 calories of energy.
