Consecutive integers are numbers in a row on a number line (ie. 4,5,6 or 457,458,459 or 12341, 12342, 12343). They can also be negative as long as the problem doesn't specify if it's positive.

x= first integer
x+1= second integer
x+2= third integer
x+3= fourth integer
x+4= fifth integer

Add the five integers equal to 75.

x + (x+1) + (x+2) + (x+3) + (x+4)= 75
combine like terms

5x + 10= 75
subtract 10 from both sides

5x= 65
divide both sides by 5

x= 13 first integer

THIRD INTEGER
x+2= 13 + 2= 15 third integer

ANSWER: The third consecutive integer is 15.

Hope this helps! :)
