Write the equation of the line that passes through (3, −2) and has a slope of 4 in point-slope form. (2 points)

The equation of this line in point-slope form is y + 2 = 4(x - 3)

Explanation:

In order to find this, start with the basic form of point-slope form.

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

Now put the slope in for m and the point in for (x1, y1)

y + 2 = 4(x - 3)

Slope = (Y2-Y_1)/(X_2-X_1)

Give point (3, -2) and slope = 4


4= (y+ 2)/(x-3)


4(x - 3) = (y + 2)

Answer: 4(x - 3) = (y + 2)
