PLz help me!

Write the equation of the line that passes through (−3, 5) and (2, 10) in slope-intercept form. (2 points)

1. y = x + 8

2. y = x − 8

3. y = −5x − 10

4. y = −5x + 20
This is my last question!

Start by finding the slope using the slope "formula"
(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1):

x_2=2 \\ewline y_2=10 \\ewline \\ewline x_1=-3 \\ewline y_1=5 \\ewline \\ewline (10-5)/(2-(-3))=1

Now, write y=mx+b, substituting the value you found above (the slope) for m:

y=(1)x+b \text{ or } y=x+b

Now, substitute one of the given points for x and y to solve for b. Let's use (2,10):

y=x+b \\ewline 10=2+b \\ewline b=8

Now, put it all together:

y=x+8

That's the equation of the line!

Slope = (10 - 5) / (2 + 3) = 1

Therefore, y = x + b

At point (2, 10)

10 = 2 + b
b = 8

Therefore : y = x + 8

Answer: y = x + 8 (Answer A)
