HELP!!

A group of students are going to attend a concert. The cost per person varies inversely and depends on the number of people attending the concert. It will cost $75 per ticket if 2000 people attend. How much will the tickets be if 5000 people attend?

if x number of tickets and y is the number of people (5000)
75x=5000
5000\75= 66.66 repeat
so x equals 66.66

Since the cost of the ticket per person is inverse to the total amount of people going, we can find out the cost for any amount of people with the info we have.

Inverse proportion means that a value, k, will always be the result of the multiplication of two variables together.

75 * 2000 = 150000

Therefore,

x * 5000 = 150000

Divide both sides by 5000.

x = 30

The ticket cost per person for a 5000 person attendance will be $30.
