For this case we have the following equation:
E = 9m + 8100
Substituting E = 8865 we have:
8865 = 9m + 8100
Clearing m we have:
9m = 8865-8100
m = (8865-8100) / (9)
m = (765) / (9)
m = 85 Kg
Answer:
Gavin's mass is:
m = 85 Kg
