If the ‘travel diaries’ project will be posted as a personal blog online, Susan should follow the precept on copyright infringement. The subject at hand is personal, if it’s a travel diary, then that connotes that she is using content that she herself took in one of her travels. If the photographer --- who happens to own the copyright of the image being the creator himself --- sees his photo featured in her diary, then that’s tantamount to infringement.
