This example illustrates "William Ogburn's concept of cultural lag".
Cultural lag alludes to the phenomenon that happens when changes in material culture happen previously or at a quicker rate than the progressions in non-material culture. As such, cultural lag is when innovative change, or something comparative like devices, grows quicker than culture can process those progressions.
