Let us take the number be x . So the three fourths of the number will be , ¾ x . And this is equal to 10. So , According to Question ,

⇒ 3x/4 -2 = 10

⇒ 3x/4 = 10 + 2

3/4 x = 12

⇒ x = 12 * 4/3
